- I had my first students of color meeting today. I really liked it. It was really nice to talk about all the weird things that black people encounter in port with people that get it
- I hung out with my old India roommate Sarah Moffet today which was pretty sweet. I also skipped movie night. Since India I have been a little out of sorts when it comes to the group. The ship is starting to feel so small and time feels like its moving too fast. So I took a shower with paramore and felt mucho better
- Sarah says she wishes she could be more like me and be open and honest. But a little bird once told me it was bad for girls to be forward, that I should just play a bunch of bullshit games. Fuck that

- chill day, went to all my classes, had a cheeseburger, watched across the universe. I need to watch that movie again to fully get it.
- Ran into Tyler playing b-ball, Caitlin said he was cute
- Tonight I just hung out with Bryan and Caitlin which was pretty fun. I told them about Steve in Mauritius and they freaked the fuck out. It was pretty funny.
- Tonight for the first and only time we got to RETARD our clocks. Don’t ask me how that shit works cause we are still going west
- Today we hung out on 7th deck and went cloud watching, that is where the quote at the top comes from

- Good morning Vietnam! Cliché I know but how often do you wake up and have Vietnam outside your window?
- Three words for you all. Vietnamese water park. Oh that’s right. I went to a Vietnamese water park called Dãm Sen on the outskirts of Saigon. I came up with this idea when I was sitting outside on deck seven with Beth and it had occurred to me that it’s hot as balls outside and thus will be hot at balls in Vietnam. So I did the research for some water parks in lonely planet and narrowed it down to two, Dãm Sen Water Park and the Saigon water park. Dãm Sen was closer and cheaper and had a website. So the morning we pulled into Vietnam I looked up the website and read the awesome ride descriptions. Some examples:
Black thunder: exactly as its name, the dark inside of the hole combined with laser effects will give you the extreme excitement as your feelings change continuously and suddenly.
Multi slide: multi slide colorful with many lanes making for you chances of expressing your talent to families and friends. You have joyous feelings and so wonderful with multi slide. Victory to you!
Love storm: height 12 m with 3 unique turning twisting love storm almost swallows players, especially couple of lovers, newly wed couples shall have unforgettable moment of love.
So after that everyone agreed that we should go. Becca, Erin, Beth and I set off after the ship cleared to the ATM and then to the water park. When we got there we paid admission, it was five dollars to get in or 80,000 dong. Awesome. So we put our stuff in some lockers and grab some lunch. Two dollars for beef stir fry, rice, a whole plate of fried and a coke. I love Vietnam I may never leave. The first thing we set off to go on is, black thunder. How can we not right… its called black thunder. So first and foremost there is a tube feeder, you give your tube into this thing and it meets you at the top of the slide instead of you having to awkwardly carry your double tube up the stairs. America… take note. So me and Beth decide to ride together and Erin and becca ride behind us. So we get in and we start to go and we realize that this ride is pitch black dark and that there is a drop that we didn’t see when we first got on. Causing us to both scream and Beth to yell “I’m gonna kill you!!” but yea it was so much fun every so often the “lasers” would flash, the “lasers” were actually flashing lights. Black thunder was amazing I went on it like three times, cause it was Thursday at the water park so we there weren’t any lines. We rode another tube slide then we saw this racing slide. It was four water slides side by side and you use these foam mats to ride down head first. So we get up there and we start to go and half way down we realize that this ride is super fast and will prolly kill us. So when we get to the bottom Beth bails out but me, Erin, and becca fall on top of each other and like go completely under water. We emerge and all four of us our laughing our asses off. And there is this row of Vietnamese people just watching us. I still have bruises from that ride. After that we decided that we needed to relax in the last river. So we get some tubes and start to chillax in the river. So what we didn’t notice was that in the lazy river all the women had male escorts pushing them through the river. We started sailing along when these Vietnamese boys start asking us if we need a push, we keep saying no and then they decided to hop in and start following us. So Beth gets out of her tube and drags me, and becca through the last river as we are running from these boys who are prolly like 15 but there are like 5 of them and four of us. After getting out of the crazy river we go to the wave pool and just hang out and float on the waves for awhile. Then we find some beach chairs and dry off then head out.
- when we got back to the city we got some super yummy dinner. I had bananas flambé for dessert
- I got to talk to Brian and Natalie on aim. Brian thinks I should mack Tyler
- Super excited for the rest of my time in Vietnam, except I have to not go out one day and like make a presentation. Damn you school, taking away from my fun

- today I went on the Mekong delta day trip. It was so cool and had one of the fucking best meals on my life. Also we went to this coconut candy factory. The candy was really good. I bought two packs. One chocolate and one plain that I’m going to open when I get home
- after the delta I napped until Bryan came back cause we had plans of going out. We got some Pho (really good Vietnamese soup) at this place bill clinton once got some pho. Then we started our trek for a good bar/club. Because drinks are so expensive we bought some dollar beers on the street. One of the beers I got was free got Bryan bet I wouldn’t eat a pepper whole. Ha, easy. So we checked out two bars before we got to apocalypse now. I had given you a brief blurb about apocalypse now when I was still in Vietnam, but incase you didn’t read that. To recap apocalypse now is a Vietnam War movie based on Conrad’s heart of darkness. Needless to say this club was very politically incorrect. So there were fake container’s of agent orange all over the place and like barbed wire and brick walls with bullet holes in them all set to like today’s rap and pop music. Unreal. The second crazy thing I witnessed was just all the old white men trying to pick up young asian girls, freaking creepy. One of them was super drunk and sang my humps at the top of his lungs. So this next story of the night is one I would like to call “how sarah got further with a Vietnamese chick then Bryan”. So it all started when I was in line for the bathroom when this drunk Vietnamese girl who is standing in front of me turns around and says “hey!” really loudly. And I just smile and say hey back. Then she puts her arm around me and then puts her head on my should and just starts chattering away. I mean I don’t know what she’s saying cause she is speaking drunk girl, Vietnamese, and bad English. so I just keep smiling. Then she cuts the line and drags me with her. Then she is standing in front of me and she grabs my arms and puts them around her waste then leans back on me and starts whispering in my ear and playing with my hair. Un real. I could have made out with this chick probably if I wanted to. Later that night me and Bryan are out on the dance floor and this chick is giving him the eye and Bryan looks at me and is like “should I try to dance with her?” now this chick was looking at Bryan and smiling so I was like “yea totally try to dance with her”. So Bryan tries and he gets rejected, she moves over to dance with this super old white guy who already is dancing with a chick, so now he has a Vietnamese chick grinding on each knee. I guess she looked at Bryan and realized that he couldn’t pay her bills. The night ends with us taking a cab back to the ship and our cab driver offering us weed and cocaine.
- I got my package of disposable cameras from my mom, the pictures from tonight are amazing.

- so today was just a chill day with Bryan. We walked around and went shopping and killed time until we had to go pick up his suit.
- I got an awesome green army hat
- I bought a fuck ton of dvds, so awesome
- Bryan has to get his suit altered some more, she didn’t take into account that he would be wearing boxers. She looked at him when he came out and was like “why are you wearing shorts?” and he was like “um, they’re my boxers”

- I stayed in today so I could attempt to do work, instead of getting massages with Erin, Beth and becca. I watched a lot of south park
- Then Bryan got back from his Mekong delta trip and we went out to get dinner and pick up his suit. We got sushi! Yay. Also I bought some super good chocolate.
- Back at the ship we hung out with Caitlin and found Andrew 1.1 and Steve. They told us their gross massage stories. We watched some more south park. Then around midnight everyone decided they wanted to go to bed. So my original plan was to call Tyler but on my way to my room I ran into Russ and we started talking. So then I asked him what he was up to he said “talking to you”. That’s a good answer. I went back to his room and we talked until 2am. He even had soda. Awesome. He may have a crush on me.

- last day in Vietnam and I did what everyone who has ever been to Saigon should do, visit the war remnants museum aka the war of American atrocities. It’s a pretty intense museum; there were a few parts that I thought I was going to vomit.
- At the museum I had run into becca, Caitlin and Bryan so I decided to grab dinner and roll with them for awhile. I got yummy pizza and coffee.
- So tomorrow is my roommate birthday, her 21rst so I knew that when I got back to my room that I would be witness to a complete shitshow. Oh and I was not disappointed. Like she couldn’t walk, and she threw up in her bed… gross
- Nick Elliott accepted my friend request on facebook. You see I had friend requested him when I was drunk after I got back from the club a few nights ago.
