I've been trying to make over my journal and it's sure turning out to be much harder than I thought! I'm super picky, everything has to be JUST right. I don't remember it being this hard. :-D I have to find a layout, wallpaper, and a profile layout. I have to edit the colors. I have to find a picture to use as my header and then edit THAT the way I

I know exactly how you feel! I recently overhauled my own layout, and faced with the daunting process you just described above, I went with a pre-fab one from one of those lovely layout communities and just tweaked it. ;-P I chose an image I liked (actually it was a wallpaper I'd made that I modified to fit), and plucked colors from that so they'd match perfectly. I didn't change my subtitle/navigation-bar-thingies, and the tiny icons came with the layout. ;-D

Oh -- one piece of unsolicited advice: create a dummy journal to work on your layout. That way you don't have to freak out and panic that the entire world is seeing your screwed up layout as you install it piece by piece....;-P

Well, it's up. It took forever, and frankly, I'm not sure that I completely adore it, but I do like it.* I may tweek the colors still. Not messing with tiny icons yet. I also may edit my profile to make me sound less perky/airhead.

Ooooohhh, I like it! Love the color palette--the only thing I'd humbly suggest would be to make the header as wide as the white portion of your layout so it's cohesive and "flows". Other than that.... (What is the pic from, in your header? I don't recognize it!)

Ack, yes, I did--I'm sorry, but my 2 bosses quit, so I've been working full time, and let's just say it's sink or swim for me! I'll explain more in email, but I'm swamped and exhausted, and I don't have the internet time for emailing until the weekend. :/

Actually, that's a really good idea; I see what you mean. I was definitely focusing more on colors. I can't really make it bigger easily, but it's something I will remember for the future.
