Kevin is really unhappy that my sister and her former college roommate are staying with us when they come to visit next month. He thinks they should stay in a hotel. I can't ask two grad students to stay in a hotel; I know that there trip could only be possible by staying with me. Furthermore, I would never ask my sister to stay in a hotel. My ( Read more... )

Well, they are staying a week, but I am soooooooooooooo super excited about it. My sister and her friend Sally are awesome! It WILL work out....you are so right. Maybe we can all go to the beach or something. I think we will also have to do a Margarita night. Mmmmm. So much to do! I hope you can join us on our many LA escapades. That would be a blast!

That means that there's even more space in our apt - I'll still be there, and we have plenty of sofa and floor.

You guys are great! Thanks. I will definitely consider it as an option. I hope to just have them stay with me, but if the environment becomes less than fabulous, it would be great to have a plan B. Thanks again for offering. :)

Blah. Funny how we were just talking about disagreements with the men in our lives. I totally think you're right; I mean, it's not like you've invited your sister to live with you for half a year or something. It's just a visit. He'll come around; he's just probably going to sulk for a bit.

No kidding, right?! I mean if we go to San Fran for the weekend, then they will only be at our place for like 3 or 4 nights. I think, in the end, it is not about my sister. I think it is some sort of power struggle. Ew. They just come in all kinds of nasty disguises, don't they?!
