Ok, so I have been for the last few hours co-habitating with a spider. We have been staring each other down all morning. Finally, I broke down and called my neighbor. He came over immediately to my rescue, of course, as pirates do with damsels in distress. He even did the "catch-and-release" method, because I said I preferred that "we" not kill

Funny thing is, my mom totally remembers him from Young and the Restless and was frankly jealous that I am living next to him! She is still mad that I chose UCLA over U of Chicago, because she really wanted to be on Oprah's Christmas show where she (Oprah, not my mom) gives each person like $15,000 in cool stuff. I feel like my pirate neighbor sort of makes up for it. :)
