I finally shot a feeding video lol. The water is full of sand because this is halfway into feeding, and they get pretty into it. I messed up the camera at first and started over haha. It's hard feeding two eels one handed, especially when I had to retrieve the tentacle that fell to the bottom without getting nipped...!

So neat! ;3; What is it you're feeding them - tentacles from...? And how often do they eat? Is it like snakes where they prefer thinking its alive? Questionsquestionsquestions

Squid tentacles :)! I bought a whole one actually, and I'm cutting parts as I need them. They eat once a week to satiation.

They do prefer if it has some movement. They have awful eyesight and amazing smell, but it is hard to isolate a strong smell like squid to one thing in an aquarium. You can see how the one on the left "lost" one of the tentacles and I had to make it move again for her to grab it. If she had seen it she would have snagged it without my help.

:D looks like your eels are really getting comfortable. That is so cool I would love to see more videos, I don't know enough people out there that own eels and your's are such hams.

Now that I have access to this nice little camera I will probably be taking more vids! And haha yes, a chopstick rubber banded to a toothpick!
