Summary: Nakamaru has a not-so-secret crush on Horikita Maki. Luckily, he has Jin to help him confess. He doesn’t really see the lucky part, though.

SO APPARENTLY I'M PRETTY EASY MYSELF.

Nakamaru is pacing. Wearing the carpet thin as he walks back and forth, back and forth, over and over and over again, muttering frantically under his breath. Maki coughs from where she's been watching, following his circular movements across the carpet for the past several minutes.

"...Nakamaru-kun?"

An emphasized "nineteen" and "five years" and "Jyannis" is all Maki can make out of Nakamaru's constant monologue. She clears her throat and tries again.

"Nakamaru-kun?"

Nakamaru finally stops, looks up and stares at her with wide eyes, like a deer caught in headlights. He opens his mouth, closes it, then runs a hand through his hair and finally says, "Horikita-san--"

Maki stifles a smile, "You don't have to be so formal, just 'Maki-chan' is fine."

Nakamaru stares again, splutters a little, before his whole face colors and suddenly he's back to pacing. Maki inwardly winces, reaches out and places a hand over his wrist.

"Nakamaru-kun--"

"You're nineteen," Nakamaru says finally, not meeting
