This was cool. I can't tell you what my favorite thing was--the tight, solid rhyme structure or the way your performance sped up as the song went along.

Thank you so much! Yeah, I wanted to play with the idea of a patty-cakes style song like "Miss Mary Mack", which brought about both of those elements.

I probably shouldn't have ignored your trigger warning and played this on my phone in the middle of the family dinner table. . .

But dayum, heavy but great song!! I really hope you keep writing and writing and writing.

And the girls didn't get it and get scarred, don't worry.

Oh no hahaha! Definitely appreciate the straight-to-family-sharing-with-gusto, even if it was a mistake this time around. Thanks for always supporting me; you'd better keep writing too!

This was an excellent song that built so well to its dark ending. Very good work.

Sooooo hoping this is fiction, but it could so easily be the story of too many children.

Those were some tough rhythms-- I'm not sure how you kept straight in your head what you wanted to do where!

Breathe easy! It is indeed fiction. Yeah, I probably should've used the extension deadline to practice more and put up a different take (those rhythms definitely got to me at higher speeds!), but I figured the frustration and errors played into the piece anyway.

Wow! Brilliant!

You create these incredible...what do you call them? They are so much more than songs, the rhythm so complicated, intricate, such powerful lyrics. On an emotional level this is grueling, raw, full of so much conflict and fear. It starts out with a dream come true that is dismissed, and spirals down and down, while your complex rhythm gets faster and faster. Your compositions are fabulous. Do you perform beyond Idol?

Seriously, this is awesome! Truly.

Gosh, I never feel worthy of your praise! Thank you, truly. I used to perform more in the past, but usually in a group and not my own creations. I definitely would like to rehearse some of these songs more and find venues to put them out there!
