Not surprised. The Catholic church is getting more and more retrograde by the day, ugh. Don't forget, they're supposed to be praying to convert the Jews again.
Vatican II stated very clearly that all churches that accepted the teachings of Jesus Christ were true churches. To undo that, Benedict would have to hold another council nullifying the original document, and that hasn't happened yet. That means, as it stands, the Pope does not believe that other denominations are "full churches" but the Catholic Church accepts the other denominations. Also, it is crucial to note that he says they aren't full churches, not that they are not Christian. Also, trowizilla, all Christians are supposed to hope and pray for all people to know Christ. Jews, Muslims, Atheists, Pagans, Christians who have lost their way, etc...Just a little perspective. Also, love your userpic.
