Fabulous comic, though I must reiterate the saddening lack of Comic!Sam in a towel. Maybe next week, yeah?
And, regarding 'Mystery Spot', I think that the scene following Dean's Wednesday badness is very much in character. If one thinks back to season one's ep 'Wendigo', wherein it's been mere days after Jessica's death, Dean points out that Sam's "...like a powder keg..." and so on. The only reason Sam didn't wander down the dark side, so-to-speak, at that point was that Dean was there to keep him grounded. Without that grounding, I'm sure the potential!Sammy we saw in MS would have become reality much sooner.
And... The writer's strike is *over*?? Egads! WTF have I been doing that I missed *that* news-flash??? Ah... I see now. It was the same day I spent at the casino. Sigh. Shoulda known better than to waste a hundred bucks *and* spend that long away from my computer. Guess it's time to break out the champagne! WOOT!!
Caption possibility: I don't care if they have free WI-FI, we're not eating here.
I'm so getting hashed on Comic!Sammy-towellessness.
You know, you bring up a valid point. That inhuman coldness of Sam's isn't so foreign to the audience. That moment in "Wendigo" proves that he can and will go ruthless, and without Dean, potential!Sammy in "Mystery Spot" would have happened sooner, yes.
Something else dawned on me regarding the characterization of Sam in MS: As we saw in AHBL2, Dean-without-Sam loses his carefully constructed hardcase shell and we see that he's really just a big softie under that leather jacket. Sam-without-Dean loses the emo!boy costume and we find that underneath it all, he's really quite frighteningly intense

Hmmmm....I knew something was up with the trunk but for some reason I couldn't actually tell what it was *smacks head* Good going. I think I'll blame it on the a.m

Hee, the boys don't leave things halfway. Of course they'll fill every flask and jug while they're at it. :) And I'm so not perving over Dean's biceps... It may be a good thing that Sam's hiding in the shower. ;D
Well, one rosary did a whole water tower for John, so it's hard to say... but extra ones probably wouldn't hurt.
PS: I made fic partly prompted/dedicated/inspired by your header base, so I figured you should know about it. If anything in it strikes you as an appropriate bubble-filler, feel free to use. The fic is here.
