Congratulations on your victory. Do you have any sense of what this might do to your rating (which currently doesn't even come close to reflecting your ability)?

Estimated new rating: 1616. 8-4 was only one more than my "expected wins" assuming an average field, but I did play Epstein (#1 seed) 3 times, so that helped.

Hey thanks. I think I make too big a deal of my mistakes and forget about the occasional good play.
I will try to play more. Maybe Orlando? I still don't have details on taking the time off from teaching.
And yeah, I was shocked when he played UNITER. I don't think I convinced him that RUNTIER was no good; maybe he just got flustered.

play orlando! I think you'd make a really good run of it in division 2. you're already in div 1 by midwestern standards, but I bet you'd hit 1700.
