Pittsburgh tourney report

Haven't done one of these in a while. Here goes. Also, if I played you and you're out there reading this, feel free to send me your racks and I'll add them to the Quackle files, if you so desire.

I had a great with you and your gang over the weekend, even when the Scrabble was going meh. By the way, it was VERBOSITY -> BIODIVERSITY. I thought your LAMENTABLY was a nice play too, though I forget which word you stole.

Oh yeah, duh, VERBOSITY. And I think it was MENTALLY --> LAMENTABLY, since we mentioned TALLYMEN.

My racks, if you're interested:

AEEOPQT
CEEIOOP (Duck likes COOPE(D) instead of COOEE(D); meh)
EHIIOPT (knew I was missing better stuff ... POTICHE and OPHITIC, neither of which I knew)
EHIILSS (probably needlessly gutsy; close call)
EILSSUY (horrible play; blanked on the six or seven plays from the B (like BUSILY) ... 30-some point equity hit, arguably my losing play)
GILSTUX
IRSTTUX
RSTTUVZ
AERSTUV
AERSSTU (couldn't afford to miss my fish, but did)
AAEERST
AEEFINT (can't remember if CP liked EF or not)
AEINORT (lucked into the right endgame; knew I needed a four-tile overlap to block all your outs, assumed I didn't have one, quite happy to see it)

FWIW, I think you're a solid 1700 player ... hopefully the tiles cooperate more the next time around for you.

Jason

P.S. You forgot to include your bingo miss from our game ... perhaps because it shouldn't be a word. :)

Hey thanks! And I updated the .gcg file. Tough draws through the middle there...
I still don't believe MAXIMALS, heh.
