...and how does he find so many subjects to photograph?

I followed his link back to his website. The man is very into his work on so many levels! Some of his site reminds me of Rien Poortvliet's work.

His stuff is wonderful.... images and background music selections. If this is where he does much of his work http://www.hogeveluwe.nl/ you can bet he knows the layout like the back of his hand, and has spent a great deal of time scoping out the critters and their habits. A long lens is no guarantee that a person will capture footage like he gets. It takes an ability to work your way into a creatures "living space" as unobtrusively as possible, and having it either not know you're there, or.... not care, because you aren't perceived as being any kind of threat. He seems to be a master at doing that.
