I used to teach about both Linux and Windows. Inevitably, when I was running Windows lessons a bunch of students would always gripe about it because they could just use Linux. And whenever I was running Linux lessons, a bunch of students would gripe about it because they could just use Windows.

At the peak of the OS war, I think I contemplated replacing every machine in the classroom with Microbee 32s.
