My A/C crapped out last night, just in time for the hottest day of the week, with heat advisories galore. It's currently 87 in here, and I can't muster the energy to do much but get up and hug another ice cube. I submitted a maintenance request last night, but they haven't come yet, which blows. Mine is crapped out too, and I've had them over twice to fix it and they haven't and just think I'm an idiot, and it's the hottest week in Houston ever and I am dying. I put in a 3rd request today

Ugh, I feel your pain. I put in a second request tonight, and I'm planning on calling tomorrow and being like "So, when should I be out of the house for the workers to come and FIX MY AIR CONDITIONING I AM DYING PLEASE COME NOW".

I'm seriously going to go there tomorrow and be like fix my damn AC or I'll be calling a fucking lawyer. In Houston, no AC is considered to be an emergency lol

I just spent five minutes with a half-melted icepack on my face. It felt amazing. It's 1:30 am, and it's still 84 degrees inside.

My bff lives in Galveston, and she's been on my case recently about visiting. Uh, no, not until October at the earliest. It is too damn hot in that area.

Feeling you re: the heat - it's been 90+ here in NY for the past few weeks. Every season is so extreme in the Northeast...

Hope at least your AC has been fixed by now!!!
