In the screwy WWII plans list is the HSS HABBAKUK which would have been an aircraft carrier / iceberg. It would have been made, not of just any ice, but ice mixed with sawdust (pycrete.) The plan was to make it 2000 feet long...

Have you read about Pycrete? Its probably a lost engineering breakthrough.When the right mixture of sawdust and ice is used, the stuff can survive a massive amount of force AND its only a slightly higher density than water!
