Im still alive, I swear! I've been rather anti-social for the last... year or more I guess. I have now lost touch with pretty much everyone who was important to me not all that long ago, and for that I feel like a horses ass. Im under a lot of stress right now with my senior project, a full academic schedule, and a part time job grading physics ( Read more... )

man, i know exactly how you feel, i often just find myself unmotivated to do anything, so i cause myself to be bored even though there is stuff to do.

steampunk is awesome, my brother morgan went to a steampunk news years party in portland, and it sounded awesome, it was 21+ so i didn't get to go, but i got to see his and robin's (his then girlfriend, now wife) outfits and they were very awesome. morgan even had a pocket watch a top hat and some sweet glasses.

anyway, you should make some chainmail, it's pretty cheap to make, and very easy to learn. i've actually been trying to make a neato chainmail gauntlet, but haven't worked on it for a little whlie.

also, if you're ever in the NOVA area you should give me a call. (cell number is 703 508 8870)

*hugs* the street works both ways and sadly I find myself neglecting you (and most anyone but those who force themselves upon me)...for that I am sorry. I know you're busy, but lets keep that promise to hang out that we made when we went to Sushi and Spice a couple of weeks ago...

Ditto on the unmotivation...knowing I'm graduating in May seems only to have sped up the process of procrastination...:-(

*double hugs*

phfttt... anyone want to talk about college and their age? I think I have both of you beat (maybe even combined...)

I hope you at least find your senior project interesting to work on.

Glad to see you're doing well...at least as well as you can make it. *hugs*

don't give up on lathe and mill, think of them as a goal for when you get out.

trust me on that, having a goal, no matter how silly it sounds, is vastly better then what I'm experiencing right now, drinking just to dull the boredom.

and there are local machine shops that you can rent tools to use, if you are really interested.

knitting would be better for you though, less bleeding involved...
