It seems as if every few months I have to write about love, you could say that I have a fascination of understanding what love is, to define or abstract the idea of love. I mean, I think you are also asking a question about identity. You're also pointing out that identity production, the piece one chooses to play within the context of a relationship (and all of life), sets up how others will react to them. Because identity has a sexual component to it, being able to place oneself sexually appears to play an necessary function in commencing with one's chosen piece in life. This necessitates itself even further when one positions oneself in the relationship or sexual playing field. Sexual identity takes center stage in these cases in a way that is distinct from day-to-day identity functioning. How one relates within a sexual experience is both a production and promotion of the sexual part of one's identity. Or so we like to make it that way out of ease ( ... )

Hm. Yes this is partially "semantics" (though more just a justified misunderstanding since I think word choice is important and I should be held responsible for making my point as utterly clear as possible) but I also think you are making a really good point ( ... )
