I use Facebook but sorry I have no idea how to use the RSS feeds or a desktop client.

I just log in once in a while but generally don't keep up on things over there. Previously, I was using Trillian, which has an integration feature with Facebook and shows recent updates.

On a related note, I understand there are people in the universe who don't use RSS and gReader. How on Earth do they keep up with everything?!

eta: I'm using G+ mostly for the NEW and SHINY factor rather than with any serious intent. There are a few people on Facebook that I would otherwise lose track of completely, so it has value for me in that sense and I won't be getting rid of it, I just don't use it much.
