I'm alive! Yay. Recently acquired an Xbox 360 from my cousin, and signed up for Gamefly, so I've been going on a gaming binge. Finished the new Silent Hill: Shattered Memories for the Wii, as well as Mirror's Edge, for the 360.

Aaaaah, I've been wanting to play Shattered Memories for some time now, especially after hearing alot of good (and bad, but this is fandom - everything after SH2 has bad) things about it!

It's important to note that it's not really a remake, but more of a reimagination of the plot. The Dahlia also changes based on your choices for that psychological exam, or so I heard. You can get ol' Dahlia in one of them too.

Oh god, IKR? The only one I really hated after SH2 was SH4, and that had more to do with the DAMN STORAGE BOX. I thought the ones by Climax were all right, but my insanely rabid SH friend insists the series ended after SH4, despite not even playing SH:H. XD Anyway, Memories is absolutely worth a shot. The story is wonderful, and to me, that's what SH is about.

Yeah, I know :D And that really is an apt description, since it completely changes everything. I just thought it was strange to base it on the first SH when it could really have been anyone in those roles, you know? Like a cheap marketing trick.

Yeah, we Youtubed a few vids after we finished, but I think the only thing that changes is her hair style/clothes (although they're all slutty xD). She's pretty young in this one.

Despite how clunky the mechanics were, I did enjoy all the Silent Hills after 2 (well, I never played Origins though, but I liked Homecoming and The Room). Definitely not as deep as those were, but they do have their interesting symbolism.

Origins was surprisingly good~ The story went back to being more psychological, so yay~ Although I think most of the monsters were recycled and so less symbolic than they maybe should have been. Still, the newer things that they added in were pretty spiffy :3

Finally, I would just like to mention for a certain person (who is busy and probably won't read this anyway xD) and for my own personal satisfaction, that I picked up again and am almost done with Kingdom Hearts 2~! Yay, this is me, last to the party as usual! Although, playing it again, after all these years and after playing many other, better games...Kingdom Hearts has lost some of it's shiny appeal to me. Still, it's engaging enough to finish and possibly continue with the series. Especially if it includes more adorable lion avatars. I'm all over that shit.

I SEE YOU! XD YAYYY I'm so proud of you haha. I'm gonna pretend you didn't say that part about losing appeal. Enjoy the ending, and don't forget to do some sidequests~ (Coliseum is awesome :D)

xD I set my PS2 back up and set KH2, Ico, and .hack right next to it, so I wouldn't forget, lol. *is also proud* okay pretend all you want but it definitely hasn't aged well xDD

I will~ Imma try and finish it this weekend :3 only have the Coliseum, Twilight Town, and The World that Never Was to go.

BUT I DON'T WANNA FIGHT SEPHIROTH T_T

LOL I'll forgive you if you don't fight Sephiroth since he's hard as all hell, but at least Youtube the cutscenes that follow the battle ^_^
