Doctors, Doctors...

So. I'm going home today.  The biopsy went well, but I had to stay an extra night because my body freaked out with the anesthesia or something and I couldn't stop puking. Ew.    The results could come by Sunday, but also as late as Tuesday. Some things they're testing for won't come until Thursday, so I've got a bit of waiting to do.

you are bringing back so many of my less desirable memories lol. I hated the IV's they are painful too, though the worst one I had was in my back during my hysterectomy. When your veins start going it gets interesting to find places to put them. Several of mine got burned because of meds and took awhile to recuperate those. I too am a sensitive - so termed by my doctor because of the meds. The more times I had to go under anesthesia the worse it seemed that I could wake up out of it, also I found out the hard way I was allergic to morphine and any of the derivatives and puked my guts up right on an old high school classmate who was my nurse lol. Actually I have another classmate who is my doctor's aid also named Autumn - these people have seen way more than I care to admit. But most of the pain meds I was allergic to. Every time I smelled this faint metallic scent I felt pukey, and I knew it was coming. To this day that is the smell I hate the most and its mostly associated with hospitals. I was grateful I didn't have to ( ... )

I hate to remind you of your own- admittedly terrifying- experiences. But I truly believe it has made you into a stronger, more determined person. That definitely inspires me- to live and love as well as I can, even in my situation. I WILL NOT LET THIS BEAT ME.

The world is a scary place; I'm learning this more and more every day. But it's also a beautiful and wonderful place, and I'm connected to it. Death and birth are just forms of this world, this place. It's an endless cycle, and I feel proud to be contained within that. This doesn't mean that I'm gonna be all passive agressive about this and let the Thing eat away at me, it just means that I'm more reflecting. There's no way I'm gonna let my life end at seventeen. I know, in my heart, that I have more to do than this. I have more journeys to take. This is path one, so to speak.
