Heh. I found it funny that you're defending quality movies, and then there was a picture of Notorious there (though I seem to be the only person in the world who really detests it).

I, too, need to see more. Hell, I'd settle for seeing more of the stuff that's in my house - I just need to engineer a 40-hour day first.

Notorious isn't my favourite Hitchcock...far from it. I do admire its style, however. I essentially picked it because I really like the criterion cover! I certainly don't, however, detest it.

I actually picked up notorious because 1) it was Hitchcock, and 2) the criterion was going out of print within like a week, so I figured it was an investment of sorts.

I hear you. I have had Blow-up for almost a year on DVD now, and I still haven't had a chance to watch it. Bought The Haunting (Robert Wise version) like 2 years ago and haven't had a chance to watch it either. It's pathetic. But I'm still jealous of your box-o-movies!
