Should I send him a picture in order to get my share?

Me: He does not deserve a picture of me. I don’t want him to know what I look like.
Mother: Send him one so you can put it in his face how pretty you are.
Me: Why, So he can find me easier?
Mother: No. So he gives you a share of all his money.

word for word - a letter from my father )

i have not seen or talked to my father since i was 3. I lived with my mother my whole life, we lived our separate ways - he was never called on what he did - we just left.

He has a good amount of money - he is in charge of his will. My mother really does not have anything to leave me, but he has . . . well a lot. But since i am not in his life he may not put me in his will.

If i give him a picture and at least send the man a letter there is a great deal of a greater chance that i will inherit a share of his estate.

oh wow
that is a pretty tough choice
did he write only because he's sick or something or is this just coming up about the will because of the stuff going on in ur house?

He has always tried to have contact with me. tried to bribe me to go over there with puppies and kittens, with vacations to places that I have only seen in movies (I’ve never been on a vacation due to circumstances, so just about anywhere would have sparked my interest) if only I did not have to see him

The man is in denial and i hate him. But he is getting along in age, no specific illnesses, but he is 67
Yes, i know he is old enough to be my grandfather, knowing that just makes me even sicker.

His trying to get me has been an ongoing issue for well forever, and so has his estate . . . the letter was a birthday card.

After everything, I think he owes you a little more than ripped-off lines from Hamlet. Then again, I don't have kids so I don't know.

If sending the picture will guarantee money, go for it. It doesn't cost you none, and sometimes you can do more damage to someone without standing your ground at a loss to make a symbolic point.

That man would never give me more than some ripped of piece of something. Even though he took all the money that was given to me at birth, he still made my mother buy everything for the household while he hoarded all of his rich mommy’s money and lord knows who else’s. No matter how much that man gets he will always be stingy.

on a different note, i had no idea you still read my journal, last i knew you deleted me from your list and blocked me from aim - i never understood why.
I'll add you back if you add me, no hard feelings, tho i do kind of wonder what happened

And thank you
