Can the two pretty newbies please be eaten by the monster? Or a polar bear for a change? They remind me so much of Shannon and Boone, I keep wondering why the writer's killed off the latter two only to replace them with this pair. Do they even have names? (If this was Star Trek, I'd rest assured they won't survive long.)
The way Kate started crying when Jack asked her if they had done anything to her ... looks like they did, doesn't it? And if not, she is acting a bit out of character. What happened to tough jungle woman Kate from season 1?
Sawyer/Kate: I knew this was coming but I thought they would wait at least another six episodes. Still feels like bad fanfiction to me.
Ben to Jack: "If I had to bet, I would have said her and you."
Yeah? Why didn't you put him in a cage opposite of Kate's then? Or even better, put all three of them together in one cage and play some romantic music over the speakers? (Why yes, I still believe a triad would be the best solution. ;-))
Poor Jack, first he gets tortured with Disney cartoons and attacked with seduction attempts by the hamburger queen Juliette, then he finds out that the whole "The Others made them do it." action took place without him.
About Kate's background story: I might have been distracted by Mal, but when did this take place? Before or after she stole the little airplane? Before or after she got her childhood love killed?
And the pregnancy test was negative, right? So why the "I almost had a baby!"? Sounds like she was pregnant and lost the baby during the pregnancy.
And Alex ... why did they kill her boyfriend? And does "home" mean the little village on our survivors' island?
I still can't help but think that their "Alcatraz" isn't really an island. Could it be that Ben just brought Sawyer to a place from where it looks like an island?
