Oh man, Depo was literally a bloody hell for me too. I bled for a month so heavily that I would leave the house, have to use the preschool toilet when I dropped off my daughter after 10 minutes in the car, and then 15 minutes later when I arrived at work, I'd rush off into the bathroom because I'd have filled my 20mL menstrual cup and was leaking all over again. It was awful. NEVER AGAIN ( ... )

For me dietary changes made no difference in pain but certain foods make me feel ill in general so I try to avoid those. A healthy diet is never a bad thing and some women have had it help so I would say it's worth a shot.

I've had lots of pain medicines and such which don't usually even put a dent in the pain...ibuprofen works best for me, but you have to be on it before the problem for it to be most effective. I still have days of awful pain, but the ibuprofen seems to keep the rest under better control. I'm also on continuous birth control to prevent bleeding as much as possible.

Also, Lupron never stopped my bleeding or pain either, even at double the dosage.
