And for the first time I actually have friends-appropriate gift ideas I am in need of.
Well, for the first time I'm actually going to mention them.
I need ties.
And a nice tie clip.
I have a total of three ties I can wear to work, and one of them is saffyre_dragon's. And a bit too short at that ( Read more... )

It might be helpful if you posted what color of shirt and pants you wear to work, and also, where one might send said birthday gifts.

Well, since I am colorblind, I tend to wear dark solids. (read: black shirts and slacks.)
Also 'cause I'm Goth.

And speedie316, anubis13 and saffyre_dragon's place is as good as any to get them to me.

I used to have a tie with Thing A and THing B from the cat in the hat... but a "friend" decided they needed it worse than I did...
Cat in the Hat is always fashionable!

I think it is weird how to me, my looming 33rd birthday makes me feel like I am going to jump into a pit of oldness. 32 was ok... 33 is scary.

33 is not old! Sheesh. Both of you knock it off! lol! You know what I hear from a lot of older people? That their 30's were WAY more fun than thier 20's.

You know, up until the day I turned 30, 30 wasn't old. But, on that day, I realized that in 3 years I would be a third of a century old... but more than that, my brain changed... (this is a physiological fact-your brain changes more between 28 and 32 than it does any other time in life.. go figure!) The way I think is vastly different than it was just a few years ago... But also, you start noticing that at 30, the music you grew up with is now on the "classic" station (another word for OLD!) and you can't figure out how old the kids are cus they all look 10 years old!
Not to mention the fact that my son is almost 14... that would make anyone feel old!

Well, I already hear music I grew up with on KJR and "retro" nights, and all the teens look about 10yo, and I'm only 26, almost 27. So WTF's up with that?lol!

Do you want classy or goofy?

Not much for wearing goofy to work.
