It will be activated by a combination of Gokudera’s Thunder and Sun Flames.
Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities:
“Hurricane Bomb” Hayato, as he’s sometimes referred to as, is capable of hiding dynamite all over his body. Underneath any normal outfit, he generally carries at least 48 sticks (most often quite more than that) of full-sized dynamite without any of the explosives being noticeable, not to mention any of the smaller bombs he enjoys carrying along as well. Because of his constant smoking, he’s able to use both hands to hold dynamite while lighting them using the lit cigarette between his lips. If he’s throwing a large amount of explosives all at once, the teen has also been known to have a whole pack of cigarettes in his mouth to compensate for the increase in fuses to be ignited. Gokudera uses four types of explosives, utilizing different techniques to achieve various results. Thanks to his intelligence, he’s able to flawlessly calculate trajectories and launch bombs at just the right time for them to explode right in his opponent’s face.
He also has a bit of a unique ability in that he can produce more than one type of
Dying Will Flame; while most people can only use one, Gokudera has
five different types. Out of the seven Flame types available, he uses
Thunder (Lightning),
Rain,
Storm (his original and strongest flame affinity),
Sun, and
Cloud. His intellect has enabled him to take those different flames and create his own fighting style using
sixteen different box weapons that are part of his Sistema C.A.I. in addition to his original
Flame Arrow box. Each box takes a different type of flame to activate, all of the techniques together requiring dexterity to handle so many accessories as well as a quick mind to combine elements during battle.
Weapons:
His dynamite, of course. And as mentioned before, Gokudera uses a fighting style with seventeen box weapons
strapped to his person. His technique revolves around one of his boxes,
a mini cannon that attaches to his arm. Four of his other boxes contain various ammunition for the cannon, one contains
special contacts that visually aid him in battle, one houses a
baby leopard that enjoys using Gokudera’s face for a scratching post, and the rest of the boxes have various shields powered by his elemental flames. More detail on his Sistema C.A.I. boxes
here. It should be noted that by feeding his leopard kitten flames from his Sun ring, it’s able to
grow into a really damn big cat. He will also have his
Storm ring and skull rings.
And while not a weapon, Gokudera will also be arriving with a cat he adopted during his time as an inmate at Marina Asylum.
History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History:
Link; applies to just before the Merone Base Invasion arc.
Point in Canon: At the end of chapter 174, before the raid on the Millefiore base. Tsuna, Gokudera, Yamamoto, and several of the other Vongola Guardians and acquaintances were sent ten years into the future and discovered the Millefiore family wreaking havoc in their world. They’ve been training nonstop in their underground base in preparation for their attack on their opponent; Gokudera, however, chose to train in solitude rather than accept assistance from his sister. With the weapon boxes left behind by his older self, he single-handedly discovered the complex method behind the Sistema C.A.I. and successfully learned how to wield it.
Conditional: Brief summary of previous RP history:
Gokudera will be arriving from his time spent in
Marina Asylum. Shortly after he arrived and settled in he had to find and drag a bloody Yamamoto back to his room and take care of the nonsense-mumbling moron. He had no time to explore the area before Sentience, the AI warden at that point, shackled prisoners due to general bad behaviour. During that period, he discovered that Ryohei, one of his Famiglia members, had been murdered before his arrival; he attended the funeral and discovered the killer amongst the crowd and confronted him with Yamamoto’s assistance. Not too long after that Gokudera was released from his shackle along with many other prisoners due to his “crimes” not being severe compared to those of others. Because of this freedom Gokudera worked to keep tabs on the other Guardians in the asylum, feeling it was his duty as Tsuna’s right-hand man to keep them safe from other potentially threatening criminals. Perhaps one of his most memorable experiences was when the AI’s system glitched and resulted in many prisoners regressing to the body (and later, mind) of a child. It was during this event that he ended up adopting a sweet Japanese Bobtail from the pet café. Once returned to his rightful age, Tsuna arrived in the asylum, and Gokudera made every attempt to keep his boss up-to-date on goings-on.
Character Personality:
At first glance, Gokudera fits the typical bad-boy delinquent stereotype. He smokes, he’s antisocial, he doesn’t give a shit about authority, and he generally snarls or gives the cold shoulder to anyone attempting to get his attention. “Smoking Bomb” Hayato is an apt nickname for the Italian; his temper is a short, short fuse, and he’s ready to blow up at literally any moment. Be noisy, annoying, clingy, or even just look at him funny, and it will only take moments until dynamite is threateningly whipped out and brandished. There are very few people that Gokudera will actually openly show respect for, and only two of them can criticize him without his temper flaring into action.
His tough attitude comes from a rough childhood. Everything was peachy until he was eight years old, but eventually he heard his household’s servants gossiping. Discovering that he was an illegitimate child and that his father had ordered a hit on his biological mother and had her murdered, the young boy left home and started living on his own. In the six years that followed he changed from the sweet piano-loving boy into a fierce chain-smoking teenager itching to take on the world. The only thing that stopped him from his reckless behaviour was one Sawada Tsunayoshi, a boy that rescued him from his own bungled attack that was meant for the other teenager. It was then that Gokudera swore his loyalty to Tsuna, claiming to be the future mafia boss’ right-hand man.
Tsuna’s the one that taught Gokudera to have a sense of self-worth. The Italian became much less hazardous to himself as he stuck by Tsuna’s side, although his friendliness stops as soon as his attention shifts off of the future boss. The others that surround Tsuna and make up their Famiglia do have a unique place in the silver-haired teen’s life, but he’s too proud to admit that unless under the most dire of circumstances; any concern he shows for them can simply be written off as him doing his duty as the Tenth’s right-hand man, as any of them being injured would be an unnecessary stress on Tsuna.
Despite the way he sometimes acts, Gokudera is far from a brainless henchman. His father was a well-to-do man involved in the mafia himself, so Gokudera received excellent schooling. When the right situation presents itself, his calculating intelligence shows itself. It’s one thing when he sits in class and ignores a professor’s lecture because he already knows the information, but it’s another thing entirely when he’s calculating split-second trajectories and fuse timing in his mind while throwing dynamite and dodging hurricane-force blasts of wind as he’s evading knives flying towards him while analyzing his opponent’s fighting style all at once. At the risk of it being a vast understatement, he multitasks incredibly well.
Perhaps most surprisingly, the 14-year-old is hiding a geeky side. Along with book smarts, he’s also quite superstitious and well-versed in mythology. He tends to get overly animated when dealing with animals that appear to be myths or legends, and has been known to frantically chant an incantation to ward off a “vengeful demon” and shake with poorly-contained excitement at the sight of what appears to be a giant tsuchinoko. And yes, extraterrestrials are most certainly included in Gokudera’s long list of beliefs.
At his core, Gokudera can be a total softie, though he’ll do just about anything to cover it up.
His treatment of his cat Uri is a prime example of this behaviour; generally, Uri acts up and is every bit as feisty as her owner, seemingly going out of her way to cover Gokudera in scratches. Gokudera in return will yell, curse, and attempt to pull or swat Uri off of him. Yet despite their aggression towards each other, Gokudera still lets her out of her box (he feels bad for her being cramped inside) and still feeds her his Flames even though she’ll simply return to her box and stop attacking him once she runs out. So it is that underneath all of his layers of aggression, bravado, and stubbornness, a boy exists who is genuinely capable of caring deeply.
Conditional: Personality development in previous game:
Being pulled into an unfamiliar world with circumstances out of his control affected Gokudera more than he would ever let on. Hating to feel helpless, especially with Ryohei’s death looming over him, Gokudera became extremely protective of his Famiglia, ready to be the first one to bare his teeth at any threat. These experiences also helped to open his eyes into realizing that others shared the same kind of loss he had, although he still has much emotional growth to do in actually connecting with others.
Character Plans:
Without Tsuna to look to for instruction, Gokudera is going to be on his own. He’s going to have to learn to reach out and interact with others moreso than before, but thanks to his time in Marina he already has a slight head start for that.

Oi. [As usual, Gokudera looks irritated as he addresses the network. Something’s a bit off, though, as if the teenager can’t figure out if he feels worried or.. wary of something.] Uri is - my cat, that is - She’s missing. I don’t know if she’s just hiding or if she got out somehow but..
[He almost, almost admits to the entire network that he’s concerned about his cat being out after dark. The Italian gives a quick shake of his head before returning to the matter at hand.] She’s a little leopard kitten. Spotted fur, red eyes, big paws, and she might have red flames coming out of her ears. Depends on whether or not your eyes can see them. Just.. let me know if you see her and I’ll-
[Whatever he’s about to say next is cut off as a ball of fur comes flying right into Gokudera’s face from somewhere above. The teen’s NV is promptly dropped as he yelps, the video spinning out of control until the device hits the ground.] SHIT, Uri, get the hell off of me! Fuck, ow!
[There’s a light thump as the kitten gracefully leaps to the ground again, her long slender tail flashing across the video feed as she makes her escape.] Dammit, never mind. [Gokudera’s scowling face appears momentarily, fresh angry scratches littering his face, before the device is shut off.]
Third Person Sample
The Italian hisses as he dabs an alcohol-soaked cotton swab over his face. The fresh latticework of cuts throb painfully, and he shoots a glare out the bathroom door. There’s nothing there to receive his scowl, of course; Uri had long-since scampered away and found another hiding spot. Probably waiting for another chance to strike, he thinks spitefully. Letting out an irritated huff of air, Gokudera turns back to the mirror and resumes cleaning his wounds. Damn cat.
Once out of the bathroom, his eyes fall back on his Sistema C.A.I. boxes scattered across the tabletop. Half are already sorted and attached to a new belt to bring some semblance of order to the identical cubes, and the others... The others are being gently pushed around by a slender white paw belonging to a curious cat. The bobtail shrinks back at Gokudera’s quiet chuckle, as if she thinks she’s been caught red-handed doing something she isn’t supposed to. Which she is, but the Guardian merely reaches a hand out to scratch behind her ears.
“Leave those, Fermata.” The tailless cat gives the boxes a longing glance before jumping down from the table and heading off to instead curl up on the Italian’s bed, and Gokudera’s attention turns back to his weapons. Settling back down in a chair, he resumes his method of trial and error with each box, using each of his Flames in turn until one opens the box, revealing its contents to the Guardian. The repetitive task allows his mind to wander over all the information he’s gathered about the island. Most concerning is the talk of what happens after the evening sirens go off, hence the teen concentrating on making sure his weapons are useable prior to actually needing to fight something off.
A frown settles into his features; had any of the other Guardians been brought here as well? Had they been able to protect themselves? This island seems more dangerous than the prison had been. At least then there had been the nearly-omnipotent AI system to monitor the inmates. Here.. Here he would have to once again rely on his own skills to keep himself and any of his Famiglia from harm.
It’s up to him, and if he’s able to find any of the others, he has no intention of letting anything hurt them.
