Americans have said that the biggest factor in determining which candidates to vote for was the issue of "moral values." Let me get a few things straight, America

The sad thing is, I think everyone was so brainwashed into thinking that they were safer with Bush in office that they'd A: either fully accept what was happening, or B: didn't even know because they allowed the wool to be pulled over their eyes.
And people don't know why I'm so outraged. I'm losing my rights to medication that's AFFORDABLE. Pretty soon I'll be paying ridiculous amounts for birth control, and are they going to go through my medical file in a few months on the justification of making sure I haven't had an abortion? We're being put on FBI watch lists for insane things, that we don't even know about until it happens to us. Some guy I go to school with was contacted and asked why he needed a money order in excess of $2000! They don't need warrants to tap our phones. Nothing.
I have to completely agree with you about the Environment. I'm considering going to get my masters in Environmental Science before Marine Science just so I can try to get on a committee so I can help change things.

I can accept that I live in a country where almost a hundred million people disagree with me, and their opinions and their voice are just as important and valuable as mine. But it's sad that I am forced to accept the above as "the American way of life". That those hundred million people, like you said, are so hopelessly oblivious to everything that they have become. That's the bad side of our democracy I guess. It puts trust in the people to make the right choice. And when it comes down to it, people really aren't all that smart.
Oh, thank you again for mentioning Africa. So many people forget about the suffering or don't care because it's not in the mainstream media.
