[since his 'accident,' Legato has spent too much time indoors. It's confining and depressing, so today he gathers himself and heads out into the snow to clear his head. Finding a nice place to sit near the town square, journal open in hand, he settles down to observe his 'neighbors.' The cold air against the bandaged remains of his arm causes sharp ( Read more... )

... They're close to breaching into my world. There's debate over what to do about it. [That voice seems familiar, why did it send chills down her spine...?]

[ah, and you sound familiar as well, girl]

What a sad state your world is in, then. [at least he sounds genuine as he can, in this] Why would there be a debate over it?

Most are still dominated by our natural obligation to protect Humans. They don't understand that's it's time we give up on them and let them fall into their own disgusting ways. [Just like with Mithos. Why was she suddenly being so open about this?]

[because he's so very interested in what you have to say...]

It is unfortunate to hear of a world that sounds so similar to my own.

Does it bother you to be trapped in this little cage with so many of them, then?

Very much, since here it seems interaction with them is unavoidable. [And it's already softening her up. Shirou, Masaomi, normally she never would have let them get so close.]

[he's recognizing that voice now, but doubting himself. His luck couldn't possibly be so good, could it?]

I understand your frustration. Their presence here seem to be as claustrophobic as the other worlds they infect.

[Or maybe it can, depending how he goes about it.]

Claustrophobic... that's a good way to describe it...

Have you found no relief from their presence here?

Only by going into the forest, or spending time in the flower shop. The plants there are a calming presence and make them more tolerable when they're around. [Talking was beginning to hurt, even though she's been soft and hesitant the whole time.]

[he can hear the small hitch of pain, confirming his suspicion of this girl's identity. What are the odds...]

Have you found no one else who shares your opinions? Surely the company of like minds would be of some comfort.

There's someone... [She and Mithos had only spoken twice, but already they were seeking each other out for having similar views on the Humans who hurt them.]

Only one? Surely the situation isn't really as bleak as that.

Learned from experience... Being open about it gets them on your case and won't leave you alone...

It sounds as though you could use some allies.

... Perhaps... [While she's not as hesitant to ally herself with non-humans, she still isn't one to trust very easily.]

[he's not one to push. He'll take his time]

Especially in a place like this, trapped with threats on all sides, it is at least a beneficial concept, you must admit.
