It's a way of celebrating life. To be thankful and happy with what we have and to have some fun. [You want to date his sister and you can't even just enjoy a festival and have fun.]

Mm.

[that's at least the best answer he's gotten so far]

...Aren't we supposed to be doing that every day?

Well, yes, but you couldn't do it to this level everyday. It would turn from fun to tedious to run and it wouldn't feel as special to throw a festival everyday. Waiting and getting ready is part of the fun too.

Tradition. I enjoy the tradition. Even if it wasn't for this Great One, I would still continue it. It means something to me.

The festival's a good time to make money, you know. All sorts of jobs and people are blowing it all over the place on top of that. Shizuo-san even gives us some spare change to buy things for them some years!

I wonder if my brothers have any plans to capitalize on this fact.

Is it really possible to find out if he even cares?

[Legato has no problem with writing back. sometimes, the quiet is just nicer anyway]

This would be one of the things I am particularly curious about.

There doesn't seem to be any known records of proof that he acknowledges the festivities after all.
