Has anyone heard of this guy named Maitreya the Teacher? He is supposedly some "Master Teacher" of Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, Messiah of the Jews, practically every religious leader or messiah of a religion. Anyway, I found this website, I guess it's an official website dedicated to him http://www.shareintl.org/ Sounds like a cult to me.....

In a recent "Q&A with Maitreya" posting on the site, he says two things that bug me:

Q. President Ahmadinejad of Iran seems not to care whether he stirs up crises in the world. (1) Apart from being rather extreme is he unstable? (2) Or is it true that he does not fear a catastrophic war since he believes it will bring (in an Armageddon-like scenario) us all that much closer and more rapidly to Paradise?
A. (1) No. (2) No.

The President of Iran has been swearing up and down that in exactly two years, the 12th Imam (Messiah) will come. Could there be a possibility that these two are working together? Maybe Maitreya is the "Messiah" that the Iranian president is always talking about? Not that I believe Maitreya is a Messiah-what I mean is, maybe the two could be conspiring with each other for their own personal agendas.

Q. Why will Maitreya appear in the United States instead of in other countries?
A. He will appear in other countries. He will appear first in America in such a way that He can speak to millions of people. Then in Japan. Which country do you think has the largest and most influential media network in the world? If He appears on a major network in America He can be heard immediately by millions of people not only in the US but, through the internet, all over the world.
Eventually, after the Day of Declaration when He is known and accepted by humanity, He will make a pilgrimage around the world.
Here is a site I found explaining Maitreya's "Day of Declaration" http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/5343/AServantsHope/DayOfDeclaration.html
