So I made a brocolli and ginger soup. Not entirely sure I'll make it again.

I don't mind broccoli soup occasionally (like once or twice a decade) but I love ginger, and I saw this recipe, and I had all the ingredients ...

But no. It's not making it onto my regular winter soup rotation :)

haven't tried broccoli and cheddar, my usual broccoli soup is essentially broccoli in veg stock, blitzed and served with a slice of goats cheese melting out through it.

How much ginger did you put in. It's pretty potent stuff.

The ginger was fine, just gave a nice heat to the soup, but the combination wasn't a winner :)

Yeah, that doesn't sound like a tasty combination for soup. I'm in the 'Nope' crowd too. lol

Broccoli and ginger are a much tastier combo in stir fry.

it was how well they work in stir fries that made me wonder when I found the recipe if they'd work as soup. The lady who put the recipe up was fairly impressed with it, but yeah, I'm not going to make it again :)

fortunately I had some vegetable soup in the freezer, so my soup craving was satisfied :)
