[Jade was guided within the familiar city boundries by the soldiers. Led in the direction of the audience room, he came forward, looking as unperturbed as ever. He bows out of habit, although it is rather half-hearted. A nagging feeling is tugging at him as he wonders about whether or not he should have really left the others alone in the forest.

[Peony lifted his eyes from where he had let them drift, unfocused to the floor, watching the doors to the audience chamber as they opened. He couldnt' help a smile as he saw just who it was the soldiers were leading into the room. He had self-control, however, and as Jade bowed in what he knew was simply habit, Peony eyed the soldiers, smiling as he gave them a dismissive wave. He was happy that they took the hint and left he and Jade alone, and as soon as the door closed, he stood from his place upon the throne, walking, though quickly, to his friend and wrapping him in a tight, yet still brief embrace. He knew they didn't have the time to stay like that, as Jade had come alone, and he soon stepped back, hands on his best friend's shoulders for a moment before he let them drop to his sides.]

Far, far too long, Jade~ But I know you haven't come here just to talk to me, have you...?

[He stiffens slightly at the hug. Nephry didn't even hug him when she found that he was alive. Then again, the others were still there and he had a reputation to uphold. However, he doesn't do anything to escape the hug given by the emperor. He has grown used to such gestures of affection by now. As he is released, he shakes his head and chuckles slightly.]

Oh, if only that were the reason, Your Majesty. Unfortunately, I do have a responsibility to take care of. I have seperated from the others, they should still be in the Theor forest.
