1. What's the best book you've read in the last year?
probably "The Child in Time" by Ian McEwan...but i wouldn't recommend it to anyone with small children because it had me pretty well in tears several times and i don't even had kids, but that could just be because i'm a big softy

so i'll wait until spring when the sharon fruit comes in - they're persimmon-like fruit grown in israel so they get to have a different name for some reason...whatever, they're still delicious
