This particular skull is from the Mutter Museum. Though I do have access to one closer, this one has prettier mechanics.
These skulls are dissected and fully articulated. The skull sections are slowly separated by fulling the skull with beans and then slowly cooking them so as the beans expand, the sections slowly and naturally come apart...or something to that effect :D
