It was already that way. And yes, the weather's getting better these days. Still a little cold at night, though.

How's school going?

Oh, so you had time to blow up a car, but not to visit me? I see how it is.

No pie for you.

I only explode cars on alternating Wednesdays during months that contain the letter "R", so don't look at me. It's not like I have a problem with exploding cars. I can control it. I can take it or leave it alone.

Did your books and jerkies and candies come yet?

I just bought a vintage 50's prom dress to get mawwwwied in (in case I get married this summer, which we still haven't decided, might wait till next year. Anyway I don't want to steal youse guys' wedded thunder.) It's metallic gold and white stripey. Gammy will have three strokes and then decide she likes it.

Miss you!

Charideee.

Ha, so YOU'RE the Mad Arsonist of Fallujah! "Was it always so, or did it come by degrees?"

I want to see the vintage cardiac-arrest-instigator. Send me pictures.

Thanks for the books. I'm currently enjoying The Blind Assassin.

one of my classes this sem. is chinese poetry :).... although the English translation is a bit watered down, but still u can get some sense of the beauty of some chinese poems.... put some here, hope u like: :)

(poetry by Wang Wei, famous ancient poet)

Zhongnan Retreat

In middle years I am rather fond of the Tao;
My late home is at the foot of Southern Mountain.
When the feeling comes, each time I go there alone.
That splendid things are empty, of course, I know.
I walk to the place where the water ends
And sit and watch the time when clouds rise.
Meeting by chance an old man of the forest,
I chat and laugh without a date to return.

Farewell to Shen Zifu Returning East of the Yangzi

By willows at the edge of the ford, travelers are scarce.
The fisherman swings his oar toward the winding shore.
There are only thoughts of you like the colors of spring:
South of the Yangzi, north of the Yangzi-- sending you home.

Ooh . . . but I wish I could read the originals. Why does Chinese have to be so difficult to learn? I would've needed another two or three years before I even began to get a handle on things.

Oh well.

I sent you a letter last week. Hope it reaches you soon.

Yay!! Letter!!! :)
me = happy

Over the weekend I went to the US West Fa Conference in Los Angeles, got to see Teacher again...... It was very nice.... The Conference was on Saturday and then Sunday there were some activities raising awareness against the persecution of Falun Gong, they were really nice too, the parade particularly was quite grand. Weekend was so good that, life back in Berkeley seems surreal right now..... or maybe the weekend feels surreal right now looking back on it....
