I had a lot of time on my hands apparently, and decided to do a top-10 of my favorite Bonnie-and-magic moments. I failed, and there are 11... well, actually 14, technically but whatever. In no particular order: ( let's go )
Ok, so I got here, finally, and I'm terribly late :(. I'll try to be brief - I actually should be doing some work now... Also, I'm going to make everything about 3x22, because I'm obsessed with 3x22 Bonnie, and also I just read your tumblr post about how we should have a Damon & Bonnie cop show (I will NEVER get over this idea tbh).
By that I mean, as she becomes an increasingly gray character who makes questionable decisions, her magic grows darker and more ambiguous-even when she is doing a spell for “good”, either the spell itself is dark and sometimes incredibly problematic, deceitful, cruel, vengeful; or it yields the kinds of consequences that include death and destruction, unintentionally or intentionally.It's so fascinating for me in 3x22. The tragedy of Bonnie is that she's a servant of nature, and she's deeply, profoundly moral. Nature is not. Nature is amoral. It doesn't care about right or wrong, it cares about balance. So Bonnie goes against nature because, from her perspective, nature is wrong. Nature wants her to let
