YES - I was thinking the fic is such a little pretentious move (and reminds me too much of songfic which I hate with the fire of a thousand burning suns on principle) but I couldn't help myself. But I am so glad they give you feelings, they give me feelings - too many.

Yay, I'm so glad you like the songs and the interludes. Number 5 is probably one of my favorites because the way Damon loves is utterly fascinating to me and I'm not quite sure it's compatible with Bonnie and how she operates in the long run, but it would be some kind of beautiful disaster. 7 is my other fave, just Bonnie being comfortable with dwelling in the gray is my favorite thing of life.

I completely loved all of it from top to bottom. Writing like this is why I love this pairing. They are the only pairing I ship on TVD though though there are others I find okay. One thing about Bamon for me is that I think that the truly have the capacity to heal and nurture each other emotionally like NO ONE ELSE on the show could. But I also think they have the capacity to completely destroy and devastate each other emotionally like NO ONE ELSE on the show as well. And yes, that's even after the Katherine debacle as in my core, I don't know that Damon truly loved Katherine and I think one day he'll see that down the road. This was just so beautiful and it reminded me of why I adore this pairing and why I think they are worth the wait.

Sometimes, I almost feel that any ship with Damon involved would be destructive in one way or another, whether that destruction was turned inwards or out on other people, or both. That's part of why this ship works for me? There are a lot of possibilities. I fear what the show will do with them if they even go there with Bonnie and Damon because I don't know that they'd do it right. Sigh, but I would LOVE to see it explored onscreen - in whatever form it would take.
