Today is my Friday "day off" and on today's agenda is a physical "wellness checkup" with my Doctor, followed by grocery and sundries shopping, followed by making Ogre Juice, followed by vacuuming the house top to bottom. I really enjoyed that informative LJIdol entry - you did an excellent job of setting the stage for that incident that made it thoroughly understandable. I regret a life cut short, and the missionary idiocy that resulted in his death. Colonialism, no matter what its form, where it happened, or how long it has taken to throw it off, was NOT one of humanity's wiser ideas. And I have YET to understand where Western European derived civilizations acquired the obscene idea that their civilization was so much better than anything else in the world that the right - nay, the obligation - was theirs to spread it everywhere in the world at the point of a sword.

Thanks so much. I had a very busy "day off", vacuumed the rest of the house, returned some things to Amazon and bought a couple of other things at Bed Bath & Beyond that I needed for the kitchen, even did a quick off-schedule load of laundry! I went crazy at Target and instead of just paper towels and kleenex, I bought new underwear! In a size that will actually fit me now! ( know ... crazy! LOL
