We had a meeting with our accountant last night for our personal income taxes. While DH sat next to me fussing and organizing his paperwork, I went through the stack I had prepared one-by-one with Paul, handing him the receipts for banking, specialized accounts, charitable donations (all mine, of course), and other detail paperwork. As someone who's mostly just on LJ (I do have a DW acct, though), I'm grateful that you post here on LJ still, even when it takes longer because it's not automatically cross=posting. I'm sure someday I'll have to make that jump to DW, but until then, I much prefer LJ's interface.

So glad you got the taxes sorted and ready to file. That's such a tedious chore and one that's good to have in the rear-view mirror.

I'm really not fond of DW and wouldn't post there except for a few friends who only are over there. I enjoy LJ far more, despite the ownership and the problems. It's frustrating to have to post both places, but I've done it often enough that I'm fairly used to it. It just adds time to my daily posting and sometimes time is tight.

Yea - I'm one who generally only reads LJ, altho I have a Dreamwidth account. Last time I tried to post anything to DW, it didn't cross post either, so I'm now generally only posting stuff to LJ unless I do a fic, and then I'll manually post to both of them. Not really fond of the DW interface anyway.

Daughter Súl has a client whose son is a plumber - so guess what job is starting today? Bright and early too. Not complaining - she (and I) need this taken care of ASAP. She'll need to bring in someone to replace the tile over the fixtures too, but the job should come in quite a bit under the huge estimate we were dreading.

Oh - and guess what DIDN'T work this morning? *sigh* Ah well...

Oh dear - a plumber is a plus, your keyboard is a minus. You're batting 500 and that's not a winning season. I hope this guy can do a good job so that you don't have to shut the water down overnight any more.

I'm not fond of DW, but I have some friends who are only over there, and some others who are only over here. I don't mind doublt-posting, it's just nice if the software works properly and DW does it for me.
