HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF!

Right, on a random whim (and really, what other sort is there?), I've decided to compile a CD of inspirational power-ballads from eighties movies. I want to feel like I'm the greatest human being in the world and that I can jump over mountains and punch lions, and short of an endless supply of coke and pills a compilation CD seems like the best ( Read more... )

Timbuk 3 - The Future's so Bright I Gotta Wear Shades (from My Best Friend Is A Vampire)

Plus, I think that is the best compilation cd ever. I must own one.

Well, I'd prefer to grab songs from films that have been seen by more people than just you... :p ... but I'll have a look.

Oh, btw, you remember those headphones you gave me at Christmas that I was really ungracious about? Pretty much saved my life this week. Cheers!

Shame on you, its a fabulous song.

And I've never seen Caddy shack, or that silly transformers movie, and nor do I care to, however if that CD were on sale the presence of those songs on it would not hinder my purchase.

Put it on my cd at least....please?

That's the thing, though... if you're going to go full-bore on the all-cheese Stan Bush thing, you have to include The Touch from TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE (later sung in-studio by Mark Wahlberg in BOOGIE NIGHTS), which has its own hair-metal soundtrack that's worth a listen ...it's so ridiculous that it's great.

The Internet informs me that it was in Footloose, but I never saw that, so I only associate "Holding Out for a Hero" with Short Circuit 2. Does it fit your requirements?

Also, I will have a copy of this CD, if you will. I like music I can associate with films. So much easier to remember.

See, I wasn't sure Holding Out For A Hero was in a film. It fits all the other requirements though, so if it was in Footloose then I'll include it. Fab.
