I think America's reaction to 9/11 was a symptom of changes that have been occurring over time in the way America sees itself and the rest of the world. I didn't get the sense that 9/11 was as important a date to Atwood as you suggest.

I agree that the majority of the audience are Canadians, but do you think that was intentional or accidental? I was unaware Atwood went to Harvard, perhaps if it was intended for an American audience she would have posted it through them?

Your statement "The main idea in “letter to America” is show how America used to be and if America continues with its ways it may never be that again." seems to give the letter a warning tone that was there but when I finished the letter the warning wasn't what stuck with me. To me the main idea was the hope and the plea for change.

I think it's well worth looking to see when and where this was first published - it tells us quite a bit about who her audience might have been and more about her purpose.

But overall you've done a great, thorough job here.
