It's supposed to be a celebration of the prevention of a group of revolutionaries blowing up parliament a long time ago. The bloke was called Guy Fawkes if that rings a bell. In reality it just gives people an anual excuse to play with controlled explosives and build huge bonfires to stick a scarecrow-like image of guy fawkes on top. It can be quite fun :-) To be honest imho they are celebrating the existence of revolutionary anarchy rather than the prevention of a big bang but perhaps that is just me.

It would have been very lame if he had mugged me yes... I am glad he did not.

A vacation would be nice. Specially as it will give me ample chance to get ready for/relax after my celebrations on Friday
