But that is exciting and wonderful. Hemingway didn't write about albino teenagers protecting the world from space aliens. I believe he mainly wrote about people getting drunk in Spain.

Heh. I'm also embarrassed to report that I have no real moral dilemma about the leash. I can think of no down-side, really. Some people have told me horror stories about kidnappers cutting the leash when the parent's back is turned, but I'm thinking the "Baby Houdini escapes from stroller and disappears, only to wash up later on Tom Sawyer's Island" story is more of a threat.

Plus, if anybody took him, I'm reasonably certain they'd pay us to take him back later, O'Henry style.

(Is it really bad that I'm making light of kidnapping and drowning? Yikes.)
