PRIDE!

Jul 11, 2009 12:23

So I went to Pride in San Francisco a couple weekends ago.

I took an insane amount of pictures while I was there, most of them good not very good. I won't subject you to all of them, they're here if you curious, but I am going to picspam a few.

We had a dance party in our room when we got to the hotel.

These three got a little freaky.

We really wanted to take a tour of Alcatraz, but apparently you have to buy tickets a couple weeks in advance. Maybe the next time I'm in San Francisco.

We walked down to Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf.

Along the way we saw a guy walking a rare bread alligator.

Then we walked over to Chinatown.

And then the Dyke March!

Started off with Dykes on Bikes.

Some mopeds snuck their way in.

So did some boobs.

And then we actually got to march.

We had some pretty awesome supporters along the way.

And some brave ones.

We danced as we went.

And then there were the blow up dolls.

We got some free hugs.

And then we went out. Then on Sunday there was the actual full Pride Parade.

Dykes on Bikes started us off again.

More mopeds.

Then we got Mikes on Bikes.

Some hot officers.

I don't think the rest of these need comments.

And that's it for pictures. It was really an amazing weekend. It was emotional, it was inspiring, and I met some new people - I only knew Felicia going in and we stayed with a couple friends of hers that turned out to be awesome.

In other news, I've been so bored at work that I brought in my old Electric Circuits text book. I started reading through it and doing some problems and realized that I don't remember basic calculus. I have a degree in Electrical Engineering and Advanced Multi-Variable Calculus was one of my favorite classes in college and I DON'T REMEMBER BASIC CALCULUS. I am so horrified right now.
