Maxis Taste Dare 007 - Veronaville Asylum (Week 3 Part 1)
Last time:
Kent maxed his first skill
He continued his quest for lycanthropy
There were several food bowl/plate pass outs
Kent finally fixed the piano
Titania was renamed The Stalker
Everybody glitched
And, of course, MOAR FIGHT!
So I managed to get my mitts on the Holiday Stuff Pack despite it being discontinued. I didn't Arrr! it, either. You can get it for free from a Spanish forum here. It's hosted with the permission of EA Spain.
This update covers only one day - Monday.
I figured I might as well give Albany his screen time or he'd haunt the camera for the rest of the update.
Also, I've been busy making Christmas-themed stuff for the LL30 Sims site. This is one of the items - plate replacements. We'll be back to our regularly scheduled blue check plates for the next update. Not that anyone noticed the plates, I'm sure.
I was trying to get a shot of the Christmas decorations (also - new Christmas t-shirt!) and I totally missed the most important shot - Titania snuck in while I wasn't paying attention to Kent and flirted with him. And they fell in love. I was all "Oh, crap! At least I have a backup and can delete the entire episode from everyone's memories" but then other stuff happened and I decided I'm going to keep the version of the Asylum you will see by the end of the update.

He then made himself useful by burning dinner.

I had heard that you only get Santa in the Happy Holiday Edition of the game, where you buy the base game and the Holiday SP together. So I figured I'd dress Kent as Santa. Yes, I cheated with the Numenor coat hook and bought new outfits for the adult females (look! New Christmas t-shirt on Titania!) and for Kent.
Also - look closely above Titania's head. What do you see?
Kent makes for one totally whacked out Santa!
I have no idea what The Stalker did there but she and Isabella effing fell in love!!! I was spewing!!!
Which is a quaint Australian way of saying I was beside myself with rage (and laughter).
And then The Stalker turned to Kent and flirted with him. I was too stunned from the previous event to cancel out the action like I had been doing in the past.
Queue wronged lover slap fest.
I effing hate that pixie right now!
You have no idea how much it hurt to do the next action...
I wanted pictures of sims receiving gifts from Santa Kent and she was the only one Kent was still friends with :(
I HATE YOU, STALKER!!!!!
I sent him to apologise. Over and over.
Bianca seemed receptive so...
Gift denied!
And lose the damn flying hearts for Albany, Bianca!
So it was back to grovelling.
I decided to have Kent bake some Santa Cookies so I could take more pictures of my pretty Christmas plates when...
Holy Toledo we have REAL SANTA!!!!
This is not a glitch. This is caused by a Christmas tree being placed on a 45 degree angle and out of grid.
ANOTHER new t-shirt! It says "tweet tweet bitches" in case you can't read it. I thought it suited Bianca quite well. I might leave her in it, rather than in her regular black and silver butterly top.
It was too good an opportunity to miss. I had to do it :)

Just to clarify - I am definitely not controlling anyone other than Kent. I only took control of the adult females long enough to get them dressed in their new outfits and I only controlled Goneril for about a minute to get those two posed shots. All other actions are autonomous and Kent remains the only controllable sim.
So now you know why I am not restoring my backup to get rid of the Kent and The Stalker falling in love memory. The chaos she caused, the new levels of hatred in the house and the unexpected arrival of Santa all mean that I just cannot bring myself to wipe out those memories and return to the house as it was. Because all of those events mean that these guys will be more whacky than ever.
So what did Santa leave them?
Yeah, I shook my head at that one, too.
