Two Going For Broke updates in one day!. Amazing!!!
I'm trying to keep up the pace on this in case after November 16 Pescado doesn't leave behind a timer-less version of Awesomemod that's base game compatible. I really need the option to have TS2 style aging working in TS3 for a little bit longer to achieve some of the stuff I need to achieve to make this crazy project work.

Maggie is growing on me. Possibly a little bit like a fungus so it's not necessarily a good thing.
I still think she's a bit scary.
Bob invites Betty over. I was too sick to care about their relationship last time I played :/
Maggie: I will scare off your girlfriend with loud wailing sounds!
Betty: * is oblivious and does her homework *
This is followed by an awkward meal full of meaningless silences.
At least they ate together. The Newbies usually each take a seat in a different area of the house and call it family togetherness.
Bob tries to teach Maggie to talk.
Bob: Say "party animal".
Maggie: ...
Later...
Bob: Say "shovel"
Maggie: Shove it!
Bob: Very good!
I want to know what sort of tank you need to keep a 9kg goldfish. That's 19.8 pounds for you people using Imperial weights. That's a freaking HUGE black goldfish.
2 lb worth of goldfish = not much better!
What that poorly edited pop-up box says is that Maggie learned to talk and the next step is for everyone else to learn how to get her to shut up. LOL
Robert: I'd rather burn down the house than clean out that potty. What have they been feeding to this kid???

The Learn To Walk animation is super cute with the toddler lifting up the legs in a parody of a toddling march. Cuteness.
I think the school still isn't over the fact that it disappeared when I stuffed around deleting stuff out of My Documents. Oops! It was around noon and most of the kids were milling around outside, like they were too scared to go inside in case the school disappeared again - with them in it.
Bob finally finished his first novel. Not a bad result. Time to get started on the next one. I just need to figure out which ones are the best money earners.

Repairman: Effing idiots breaking effing showers not effing thinking of the slave labour that has to effing fix it, leaving effing puddles around so I effing slip and fall... * mutter mutter mutter *

For one, Betty is a fracking young adult! HOW???? She's supposed to be in fracking aging suspended animation.
Anyway, this is Robert's birthday party. He had it at the fishing hole nearest to their house. Because his LTW is to catch 13 perfect (different) fish so I thought it was fitting that the party be at a fishing hole.
I still haven't figured out what time they're supposed to age... Plus I forgot to buy a cake for him. He celebrated with some fish and chips (his favourite meal) while Bob and Mags posed around the place, looking bitchy. At least the neighbour lady tooted the horn.
And now I feel really bad that I don't know the names of all the sims in the hood but there are over 30 households with multiple sims in them and I just have no idea who they all are :(
After the first kiss picture I got of these two (see icon), this is my next favourite picture of this couple.
Anyway, Robert after an elder makeover. He miraculously grew hair. This was none of my doing. I just changed his duds, not his looks.
The next night it was Bob's turn to age up so he called up Betty to witness the occasion.
She stood in a corner, facing the wall, so he celebrated on his own.
I kind of miss the TS2 aging swarm. Hardly anyone cares that a sim is aging up in TS3.
LOL!

Between Bob and Betty you can see where Brandi got her looks. Let's hope these two beget a cute one.
This is where I found out that my game apparently hates me. Why did you have to go and choose that trait, game? You weren't supposed to grow her up in the first place. I was supposed to do that!!!
Since she's unflirty, we have to do this from Bob's end. So he seduces her behind his mother's back (literally!), then pounces, popping the question before Betty can run out the door in that unpredictable way sims have of deciding they need to be elsewhere right now.
SHE SAID YES!!!!
And then went home.
At least they're engaged :)
Bob in his Young Adult slob attire. Plus he started working on the beard.
Then it was Maggie's turn to age up. Everyone showed up in their undies or swimmers. It was semi-naked night in the Newbie house.
And this is why I should not be allowed to dress children.
Also - the kids clothes suck in this game. But she matches her bedroom furniture.
Why is this not Bob's bedroom any more, you ask?
He invited Betty out to The Gazebo!
I had trouble getting them into the actual gazebo part of The Gazebo so they sealed the deal near some scenic bushes.
Better than in the bathroom in their underwear! Don't judge!
And then Bob called the real estate agent at "Rent-A-Hovel".
They could move into a total of TWO houses in the entire hood. So I chose this one.
This is the layout inside. Currently untouched by me because I would probably ruin the crappy decorating further.
Sigh... Home Sweet Trailer...
Next time we pick up with the newly married Mr Bob and Mrs Betty Newbie! Brandi here we come :)
