Am I missing something?

A question for TS3 players: since installing the latest patch and/or Pets, have you had any toddlers age to child (or teen if they didn't have a LTW before the patch/Pets) and did they get assigned a lifetime wish without your input ( Read more... )

Hmm..That has not happened in my game(or atleast I haven't noticed anything weird) and I have Master controller installed but I do have a major problem with age sliders after the patch and installing Pets. I've set age groups to my liking but every single time I load the game, all ages are reset to 0. :( It's started to annoy me so much that I don't want to play that much of S3 anymore (until I find out what's the problem in the first place). I have taken all mods out and it still happens so I guess it's not even a mod conflict :P

I haven't had the glitch you describe but I can see how it would be super annoying. I haven't tried changing age length yet. Might try it tonight on a second user account, see what happens.

Turns out the LTW is just a glitch. Happens to Melody but not to her younger sister even when I reset the other one's traits to be the same as Melody's. I will just fix the LTW when Melody ages to young adult so she can be assigned the investigator LTW.

I use a lot of Twallan's Mods (master controller, story progression, overwatch, error trap, woohooer, register) and I've got Pets (and patch 1.26 but that is expected) and this is new to me.

Just loaded my legacy family to double check but neither child in that family has a LTW, the teens have one but I'm pretty sure I gave them those when they rolled wishes for them.

I've no idea why that suddenly happened in your game.

Just a freak accident then. She literally aged up, ate her cake, got a makeover and bam! There was the LTW when I looked at her wants panel. It was weird. I had not clicked on anything yet because she had just had her birthday so I had not even looked at her wishes yet. I was gearing her towards being an investigator so I am not happy with what she got lumped with. I have another copy of the family saved just before the birthday so I will check if this is repeatable or if it was a glitch.

Hopefully it was just a freak occurance. I really can't explain that one, so strange. Hopefully on replaying, it won't happen again :)

It is, unfortunately, repeatable. But it only ever happens to this one kid. I changed the traits of her sister to be identical and aged her up, too, with no weird LTW appearing. I guess let this be a lesson in not installing a new EP when a sim is having a birthday? Everyone was reset when I entered the house and this kid's LTW glitched. I will fix it when she ages to adult and can be assigned the investigator LTW. The way I see it is the game broke it so I can fix it = not cheating :)
