Update: Jade still hasn't changed all that much. She had a fever yesterday.. it's lasting until today so far. She's no longer under deep sedation, but she's still sedated. She moves a bit here and there, moves her shoulder or maybe her head a bit every now and again. I'm really worried about her breathing and everything, but maybe it's just the

If she's having issues breathing and she's running a fever, there's a chance she's developing pneumonia, which isn't terribly uncommon among hospital patients who are forced by their condition to lay in their beds for an extended period of time.

The fever may also be a result of any combination of medication they might be giving her. It's nothing to really worry about unless it becomes prolonged or her temperature rises dramatically.

Also, her breathing troubles could be related to the trauma to her brain stem. That's the area of the brain that deals in part with breathing, perception, balance, and movement.

It's not my intention to concern you or anybody close to Jade, I just think it only fair that you be informed as to what may be going on.

Oh, sorry. Rather stupid thing to forget. I'm Rob Press, good friend of Jade's. Known her since art classes at Cygnus six years or so ago. Some of her friends may know me as well (Regina and Shelly definitely do). If the name isn't ringing any bells, you may know me by Bob, which is what she calls me.

You and I have met, though briefly, and we weren't really introduced.

Sorry if I'm intruding or anything, really I am, but I felt the need to voice my concern, since I'm as worried about her as anybody else. I appreciate you working to keep everyone updated.

No, no.. everything is fine, curiousity just got the better of me. And remember you quite well, Bob, I have a very good memory of people.. usually. Thanks again for you concern and your information, it is very much appreciated. Although, I was rather blunt in my asking of who you were, I'm sorry. All of this has been very stressfull. I've been in all types of emotions, but mostly anger and depression have been the main two. Even though I try to remain as optimistic as always, it's hard. I think it was pretty cool that when we were all in the room and you touched Jades hand, her heart-rate jumped so much. I guess she knew u were there...

Jade's such a strong girl. I'm sure she'll pull through eventually. It just really sucks when horrible stuff happens to the best people :/
