Oooh... how did you like The Golden Compass? I really enjoyed that series. They are making a movie of it.

I quite enjoyed it! I thought it was good; going to track down the rest of the volumes. I think I actually first heard of it because of the movie, and then my mom had the first volume.

And the Safeway trip did lead to delicious, delicious tapioca pudding a few days later. Man. I've never had it made from scratch before.

We only really saw one at the very end of our trip... they are very close to the colour of the rocks, and either very still or very fast.
