If you are planning on working 2 jobs.. how much time are you gonna be spending at your "own" place anyway? You just need a place to sleep. Not to mention if you are living an apartment your dad is helping you out by renting to you cheap, thats not that realistic. I'd split an apt with you, but Im not even looking. Im planning on going out to school at SUNYIT in Utica/Rome this Sept where my housing costs will be subsidized by my student loans anyway (which Im not happy about, but I don't see much future for me without a degree or some type of advantage, anything at all). Even if I wasnt going away to school, I can do whatever I want at home. I can drink and smoke in my room (and I live in a non-smoking household) my parents don't hassle me about anything. I think my only issue would be space since I own multiple cars.. but would that be remedied by my renting an apartment ( ... )

Heres a statistic for you: "...more than 25 percent of Americans between the ages of 18 and 34 were living with their parents. For those aged 18 to 24, the numbers were even higher; 56 percent of men and 43 percent of women were residing with one or both parents."
